Questions
What does “verified” mean?
Each signature comes from a separate account or email with a full street address, is locked to the exact wording signed, and is recorded so that nobody can add, remove or change it later. A public page and a free open-source checker let anyone confirm the count without trusting us.
How do signers reach their lawmakers?
After signing, they see the people who represent their address. Email opens their own email app with a message in their name; members of Congress get their office web form; calls come with a short script. A contact counts when the signer says they made it. Nothing they write comes back to us.
What do legislative offices see?
Staff sign in free with an email on their office's own domain and see how many of their verified constituents signed each petition and contacted them. Counts only: never a name, email or address.
Are these legally binding signatures?
No. Ballot measures, recalls and candidate filings require paper signatures in almost every state. RA Petitions is for pressure campaigns: lawmakers, agencies, school boards, companies.
What happens if we go over our allowance?
Nothing stops. Signatures keep coming in and the extra ones are billed at $0.03 each when the month closes. You see the running total in your console at all times.
Can we try it first?
